RSC Energia. Check of the Progress MS-12 solar arrays has been completed

July 9, 2019

The prelaunch processing of the Progress MS-12 cargo vehicle is in progress at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

On July 8, 2019 specialists of RSC Energia and Space Center Yuzhny completed the check of solar arrays with check insolation.

Work on parameter control of solar arrays envisages opening of the stand sites where the spacecraft is installed, installation of technological tables-places, removal of protection panels from solar arrays and their deployment, after which the solar arrays insolation and functional monitoring are provided with special illuminators. Upon completion of work the solar arrays were folded and recovered with protection panels.

The launch of the Progress MS-12 cargo transport vehicle is scheduled for July 31, 2019 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
