Gentlemen, I fear I must accept responsibility for this delay. About a minute before launch it occurred to me that I had not made my usual comment in this thread and every time I failed to do so we have a scrub/abort/failure. A few seconds later...HOLD! I was trying to be logical about it and prove that my posting here had no bearing but obviously the gremlins out there are monitoring my thoughts when the tinfoil hat is on the rack. Have Elon send me a bill for the spoiled fuel. I'll try to be on my game before the next attempt.
LOL, but they could have used their famous split screen!
He got the rocket at 12m AGAIN ?!? that must be a conspiracy of some sort
QuoteLOL, but they could have used their famous split screen! They did. They were just scaled for viewer interest. You can see the 2nd stage on pixel 1597, 977

Ahhh, you *do* understand! Good, good. BTW, kevin-rf -- you missed a spot just below your left shoulder blade. Don't feel bad about it, that's a rough spot to reach (I have trouble getting to it, too) ...

This ain't that kind of forum, write your slashfic somewhere else.
I was really impressed at the close-ups we got on the returning booster stage - has anything like that ever been shown before?
They could just use a speedboat with a winch on the back.Hook on the the para-foil harness and bring it back like a para sailor.

Are we going to start naming fairings yet?

Quote from: Joffan on 05/02/2017 10:13 pmAre we going to start naming fairings yet?Because of the shape, give them names of boats from popular culture (or just the shows' names if the name of the vessel is not known). The more comedic the better. For example Pea Green A and B referring to The Owl and the Pussycat.
