I didn't even get out of bed, just grabbed my phone. Then tried to go back to sleep but heard my 3 year old get up. So much for sleeping in. Now it's a rainy video game morning. Trying to finish Fallout 4

Per L2 naughty "out of family" sensor that scrubbed the SpaceX Falcon 9 NROL-76 launch was a TOTO (Temperature Ox Tank Outlet) sensor. They had redundancy, but didn't want to risk losing another one, so the "abundance of caution" was as presented.
They're well on their way to demonstrating airline-like operation, where a flight may be delayed because a redundant coffee maker isn't working...

They determined the source of the sensor error.  An employee named Rosannnnnna.

Slightly off topic...

Hey now, off topic in the party thread means serious business. There is no serious business in the party party thread. Someone needs to report this to a moderator!

Gentlemen, I fear I must accept responsibility for this delay. About a minute before launch it occurred to me that I had not made my usual comment in this thread and every time I failed to do so we have a scrub/abort/failure. A few seconds later...HOLD! I was trying to be logical about it and prove that my posting here had no bearing but obviously the gremlins out there are monitoring my thoughts when the tinfoil hat is on the rack. Have Elon send me a bill for the spoiled fuel. I'll try to be on my game before the next attempt.

Due to the highly confidential nature of this mission, I cannot confirm whether I am at this party or not.

As I was saying yesterday, this is the best weather we have had for a RTLS, hoping for some spectacular footage! Last time it was good weather but got scrubbed and the next window was cloudy. This time we have been lucky enough to have nice weather twice. Beautiful golden morning light too!

It's almost as if he's mistakenly reading a preliminary script for SpaceX's currently-in-development rocket that is 12m in diameter...  Conspiracies abound!

(in all fairness, he did say 12 feet in diameter later on in the webcast - plus, I was barely awake enough to watch the stream, let alone put on clothes and come to work to host a livestream)
All aboard the HSF hype train!  Choo Choo!

Its always been there. My thought is there is footage of this quality of all the cape returns, and distant views of all the stage flips going out to the ASDS. We just haven't seen them as they weren't released.

SpaceX decided to show off because this time due to NRO restrictions they didn't have to pretend that 10 minutes of calmly flying and firing second stage burn was the coolest thing going on at the time ;)
