The source, while pointing out that a GSLV-Mk3 can put into orbit many more OneWeb-class of satellites (roughly around 30) in one launch compared to the PSLV (roughly around 6-7), said: “...But the exact number of OneWeb satellites the first Mk-3 mission will carry will be firmed up at a later stage.”
Nice to see the GSLV being used to launch multiple satellites, I was wondering when that was going to take place Pardon the naivete, but these will all be launched in a geo-synchronous orbit, right? I think it will be a milestone of sorts, being a first.
Thanks, so the weight/mass of these 30 odd satellites will require a GSLV. And into a higher polar orbit than what the PSLV launches into.

A OneWeb spokesperson told ET the company's "launch schedule was impacted by the Ukraine crisis", but the company plans to "use Indian (satellite) launchers in 2022 itself to serve the country's market at the earliest".
Does anyone know how ISRO managed to get two extra GSLVs for OneWeb on such short notice? Were they able to manufacture them, or did some other launch(es) have to be delayed because of OneWeb?
