Very happy ISRO Chairman. RISAT 2BR2 solar panels have successfully deployed.

Next launch is PSLV C50 with "CMS 01" followed by first SSLV with "EOS 02" and GSLV F10 with "EOS 03".
End of webcast.

What's concealed under the black rectangle (
that looks photoshopped on, not something actually on the rocket
) on the roll control pod? During the webcast it can be seen it's some kind of red writing/markings but the image is too blurry to make out anything useful.
EDIT: Actually, scratch the photoshop comment, found these images from C48 (last two attachments) with different illumination that show it's a plastic covering similar to what is used to cover the SRM attachment points.

The four Kleos satellites are working.
"After the deployment, the commissioning phase has commenced. The operations team have successfully made contact with all four satellites. It has been confirmed that they have detumbled, battery status is as expected and onboard watchdogs are operational."

It's a very good launch video in comparison to the live one and at a very different and interesting angle coverage for Isro & PSLV from 1st launch pad.
Also the exhaust cloud formed seems much bigger. I think maybe because the large quantity of water accumulated (due to rain) under the launch pad (as seen in one of the pre-flight pictures posted earlier) also got evaporated along with the acoustic suppression water jets to form this massive cloud of water and solid rocket exhaust.
Or is it just because of the camera angle?
EDIT: As no one corrected me, let me do that.
I realise that ISRO uses water jet sound suppression system only at 2nd launch pad(& not at 1st) and likely only for GSLV M3 (because of its massive thrust at lift-off).
So I wrongly mentioned the water jets for a PSLV launch from 1st launch pad.
Anyway, But I am right about rain water accumulating under the launch pad, right?
But they can also pump out the water.....
And also when do space agencies decide to employ sound suppression system? I mean at what lift-off thrust point or at decibel level or any other measure of acoustics.
