And the red coverings are shielding the holes where the VIKAS engine exhaust is channeled through into the flame trench.

The same goes for the PSLV strap-on solid motors when they ignite at liftoff.

- Induction of CUSCE-V2 (Not specified in brochure what this is)

CUSCE = Cryo Upper Stage Control Electronics

Looks like upgraded electronics package. I found that this company was involved in developing checkout system for CUSCE package: https://captronicsystems.com/space/

The Cryo Upper Stage Control Electronics checkout system is used for the testing and validation of the CUSCE package. The communication between checkout and control electronics package is using MIL 1553 standards. The checkout acts as the bus controller and the CUSCE will be configured as a remote terminal.

Various tests conducted include Protocol Tests, RT Response Tests, Error Injection Test, Load Test, RAM Check, Input Sensor Check, EGC Linearity Check, Drive MRC/AVR Actuator, Frequency Response Test, Step Response Test, Calibration of EGC pot, Calibration of RTD’s etc.

Is this really IRNSS-1J?   I thought 1J to 1L were spares of the I1K-based design, while this is the first I2K-based IRNSS so I would have expected it to be IRNSS-2A or  something like that.

I haven't seen the designation 'IRNSS-1J' being used by ISRO and is not mentioned on the press-kit.

It had the project name "IRNSS-1J" initially but was renamed to NVS-1 a few years back. Launch vehicle i believe was intended to be PSLV originally but was switched to GSLV along with name change. ISRO's annual report from a few years back states that NVS-1 is intended to replace IRNSS-1G which was launched on a PSLV in 2016. I have attached a copy of ISRO's annual report from 2020-2021. Refer to pages 46-47 for more info on NVS-1.
