What's the source for the delay from the 25th of May to "June"?

I am one of the students involved in one of the QB 50 satellites (COMPASS 2 to be precise) and right now we have no information on the current launch date from any official side, that's why I am asking...

Here's a hint:
Quote
LPSC director S Somnath had earlier said that the GSLV-Mk III is set to launch the communication satellite GSAT-19 by May end and then Earth observation satellite Cartosat-2E will be launched via PSLV-C38 by June first week.

I think this source is outdated.

Very recently we had PSLV on May 25 and LVM 3 on June 5, which is exactly the opposite of what is said in this quote.

That article is dated 11 May. The author of the article is clear that the next mission is GSLV Mk.III in May.

"Now, the team of scientists and engineers are focussed on the next mission - GSLV-MK III, boosted with fully indigenous cryogenic engine. The GSLV-Mk III will launch the communication satellite GSAT-19 in May."

However, the source is

"LPSC director S Somnath had earlier said that the GSLV-Mk III is set to launch the communication satellite GSAT-19 by May end and then Earth observation satellite Cartosat-2E will be launched via PSLV-C38 by June first week. "

It could be the author got the dates mixed up.

A part of the nanosatellites are ISL19: isilaunch19 mission patch payloads
ISL19 involves 23 cubesats:
8x LEMUR (3U)
8x QB-50 (see image, blank = 2U)
3x Diamond SSG (3U)
Aalto-1 (3U)
ROBUSTA-1B (1U)
skCUBE (1U)
SUCHAI (1U)

Aalto-1, ROBUSTA-1B; SKCUBE; Suchai were originally part of ISL09 (Formosat-5 + Sherpa)

Edit: Lets add the link to the ISL Launch 19 blog. Two additional posts have been placed.

Hi,

A very warm welcome.
There has been no media reports suggesting delays due to launch vehicle or satellite.

My sources at sriharikota suggest that ISRO is simply prioritizing LVM3-D1 launch. Again this is not an official statement.

ISRO may also be waiting on some other commercial payloads other than those part of ISIL.

http://indiatoday.intoday.in/education/story/cartosat-2-series/1/974896.html

Quote
Primary objective:

In order to provide high resolution, this satellite will prove more specific scene spot imagery. PSLV-C38/Cartosat-2 Series Satellite mission is scheduled to be launched from ISRO's trusted workhouse - SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota, located in Andhra Pradesh.

About the mission:

* This is similar to earlier launched satellites in the series. The Cartosat-2 Series Satellite along with co-passenger satellites from abroad is planned to be launched by PSLV-C38 into the altitude of 500 km
Cartosat-2 Series has the capability of a long-track and across-track steering, up to 26 degrees

* ISRO has invested an amount of Rs. 160 Crores for this mission

* The satellite will have a single panchromatic camera along with multi-spectral cameras which can detect scene specific images

* Co-passenger satellites includes nano-satellites, one each from various countries. Using the panchromatic camera, the satellite will have a multi-spectral instrument, which will support it in adapting high-resolution land observation and cartography

* Cartosat-2 Series whose PAN camera covers 50 degrees of the payload area can steer up to 45 degrees on-track as well as across and will cover the entire earth in 1867 orbits on a 126-day cycle

* Not only capturing images, the satellite also has the ability to record videos from the sky. It will help in scanning a wide range of activities involving military and civil planning

Facts

* The satellite can produce images of up to 100 cm in resolution but in black and white specifically, compared to the 80 cm offered by Ikonos

* In the past, India used to buy in bulk images from Ikonos at about USD 20 per sq km of imagery

* With Cartosat-2 offering better resolution at 20 times lower cost per sq m of imagery, buying images from Ikonos has declined.

If the reported date (June 23) holds good, it would mark a gap of 18 days between two successive Indian launches - exactly matching the record set by GSLV-F05 (Sep-8-2016) and PSLV-C35(Sep-26-2016).
