Salo shouldn't the first (failed) test be included in this as well?

the first launch did not occur in 2018 and is thus logged in a previous post. Since the Rocket Lab launch rate is expected to become high launches are being recorded one year at a time versus a continuous log.

That’s add odd judgement to make... there is no reason to split it up until the launch rate *actually* becomes higher. This will look mighty silly if they only do 3 flights this year.

Take it up with Salo as that is the decision he made.

I am not sussed. I just wanted to know where that one went. Now I know. Salo's working really hard to keep a number of lists up to date, however they want to do it is fine.

From the Peter Beck interview:
Quote
We’ve officially accelerated into full commercial operations, so we’re trying to manifest flight three in a really short time frame.  And then flight four is a NASA flight, a NASA VCLS flight
Confirms that the NASA launch will be the fourth Rocket launch.

Also the NOTAM has been extended to the  25th of April.

Moon Express signed a contract with Rocket Lab back in 2015. Though the launch date has been delayed multiple times I don't think they have cancelled the contract or made any new ones with a new launch service provider.

So it seems safe to assume they are still launching with Rocket Lab.

I could be mistaken though, if you find any new information please post it here.

MoonEx is still booked on Rocket Lab, per the guy (in a MoonEx shirt) who introduced himself to me (in a Rocket Lab shirt) on Cocoa Beach Pier the day after the Falcon Heavy launch.

Only one of us is an employee of the company we repped, unfortunately for his interest in the conversation...

At the lunar landing site workshop at NASA Ames in January this year, Paul Spudis (science advisor to Moon Express) said that Electron was still their launch vehicle.  He also said the first flight, hopefully this year, would be a lunar orbiter with a remote sensing instrument of some kind, to test the various systems prior to a landing attempt.  The second mission would be a lander, and he described its science goal, to use an APXS and a neutron spectrometer to test the hypothesis that hydrogen is enriched in high-titanium pyroclastic deposits.  The landing target is the Rima Bode pyroclastic deposit near the centre of the visible side.
