Here is a comparison between the webcast telemetry for the Transporter-3 and CSG-2 missions.

1. The boost phases are similar, although CSG-2 spent less time in the throttle bucket for Max-Q.
2. The dip in S2 acceleration for the dogleg manoeuvre is also very similar, but terminal guidance limits CSG-2 to around 3.5g, compared to 4.5g for T-3.

Incredible sunset launch causing the first stage to put on a real light show! Excellent views thru the 18in. telescope. Difficult to adjust for aperture and shutter speed during fast-changing light conditions.

At 20:10 something comes off second stage. Looks too chunky to be the stiffener for the Mvac. Chunk of ice? This video is incredible.

That’s one of the two halves of the second stage MVac bell stiffening ring. (Think “Tin Snips man”)
Others have noted this.
This ring is only centimeters wide
Sunlit against a darkening sky, high magnification, and super tracking contribute to this remarkable detection.

What kind of wastrels would dump a perfectly good booster in the ocean after just one use?
