See, I can do dramatic headlines, but while this is about the transition to Jacobs, the fact is the LM staff have to hope they get taken on.

That's what they want you to think. However, I'm told it'll be less than 50, so that's 25 percent of the LM guys.

Just what New Orleans, one of the poorer parts of the Union, needs in a time of a deep recession. 

I wonder how much more of this the program can take before it is permanently crippled.  As it is, one has to wonder if there are going to be enough parts and tanks available for any possible shuttle program extension.

Chris (B) has written about this already; there is hardware set aside and plans to process if the Washington provides the money.  A bigger question is whether the people will be available to execute the plan.

(NYSE: JEC) has been certified by NASA ready to assume operational management of the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in eastern New Orleans.
