MidJourney: AI-Produced Art
« on: 08/09/2022 05:33 pm »
Has anybody heard of MidJourney? It's some AI app which can produce art based on some input prompts.

There are various ways to use it, including a free trial through Discord, and the manual is available online:

https://midjourney.gitbook.io/docs/faqs

The command syntax is "/imagine" followed by various parameters, including a phrase

I typed /imagine a space colony

I typed /imagine a spaceship

I'm assuming it googles up various images based on the phrase supplied, looks for commonalities and then tries to create its own based on what it's seen, but I'm not sure. Does anybody know more?

Somebody typed in  /imagine tesla car robot transporter on the red planet fighting aliens giants realistic

You can even explicitly specify source images too

Somebody typed in  /imagine https://s.mj.run/NEOPRgU1f2k the galaxy Hyper realistic, diffuse lights, cinematic atmosphere, insanely detailed and intricate, 8k, ray tracing
