EAA AirVenture is an incredible event put on every summer that is worth the trip at least once in a lifetime.  Details on the whole event can be found here:

https://www.eaa.org/en/airventure

The people I have met and talked with at this event have included: Burt Rutan, Mike Melville, Brian Binnie, Paul Allen, Scott Crossfield, Richard Branson, Mike Griffin, NASA engineers, engineers from major and minor companies in aerospace, multiple astronauts, pilots of every kind of aircraft you can imagine and best of all people from all over the world who are fascinated by air and space.  If you keep your eyes peeled you might find Harrison Ford wandering around or other people you might recognize walking in the crowd.
