Jellyfish and booster reentry! With Dragon now in orbit, #CRS25 is underway. The astronauts aboard ISS have some fresh supplies and science on the way.

What a beautiful launch! Definitely worth catching the replay: youtu.be/J0rDoyqpCkE

From the morning DPC.  MCC-H is tracking a possible conjunction that may result in a PDAM around 1600.  No further details and following a question from Sam, a PDAM today would not effect Dragon docking...

Here are plots of the webcast telemetry from the CRS2 Spx-25 mission.

The Cargo Dragon 2 mission profiles are unusual because the payload is too large for the booster to return to the launch site, but small enough that there is a significant booster propellant margin. That margin has been utilised to provide a partial boostback burn, resulting in an ASDS landing at less than half the usual downrange distance.

From the plots, the ASDS location was 303km downrange, quite close to the 300km announced in the relevant NGA notices.

Mysterious white dots shooting across the view of the ISS camera, are being investigated by flight controllers. The red dots on the screen is radiation damage to the camera, but the shooting white dots were unusual.
