ESA - Open call for novel space missions
« on: 09/04/2020 11:57 pm »
Have you ever wanted to see your concept for a space mission fly? Well this could be your chance as ESA has opened up its basic activity preparation phase to anyone. Selected ideas will be be taken to pre-phase A studies as the first step towards becoming a fully-fledged mission.
Do you have a compelling idea for a future space mission? Then we want to hear it. ESA is issuing an open call for new mission concepts across its entire range of activities. Anyone is encouraged to submit in response, from research institutes and companies to ‘citizen scientist’ members of the public.

This isn't necessarily science missions but also any others like space infrastructure and exploration etc. Emphasis seems to be on novel ideas, so slightly outside of the box concepts may have a better chance.  Note there are some caveats, so read carefully.

Close of submissions is 4 October 2020.
