So there was some news about Hubble...something we wouldn't normally write an article about - but I noticed the WFC 3 being referenced and of course that was a big deal as part of STS-125......so:

Thanks guys, and always appreciate the twitter pimping ;D
(Noticed Elon responded to you yesterday! :o)

Nice article Chiris! :) Wouldn’t it be cool if some future Mars Aeroshell test vehicle could encapsulate Hubble, return it for display alongside Atlantis... 8)

Thanks for the article, Chris.
Hubble - and the ISS - are living proof of the value the Space Shuttle provided to the space program. Everyone who was involved in the shuttle program should really be proud of that legacy.

very enjoyable article Chris,
for those that say the Shuttle was an expensive boondoggle, from my perspective, the amount of science that has resulted from the work of the orbitiers, we are truly indebted to that program, and in the future, it will be seen that the Science ROI was worth the expense.
Gramps
PS like the idea of returning the Hubble to Earth, in 15-20 years time...

I love the thought too Gramps! Imagine if they had Hubble in Florida with Atlantis reaching out to snag "him" (is Hubble Telescope a him or a her)? Maybe some spacesuits?
But in the meantime, how about SM-5.

It's always referred to as an "it"... (But remember, never call an orbiter an "it!")
And Gramps, that Santa photo is really cool! 8) 8) 8)

Truth!! That is always an insult to the ladies!! :)
Id say Hubble would be a HIM, the Shuttles are the ladies

100% agree. Took the words right out of my mouth.
