Wow, what a strange way to get the bird into orbit. Pulling it on the burn and it "falls out of the back"!

Is this standard on a Dnepr? I've never seen it before.

The launch seems a bit hairy to my untutored eye.  The rocket pops out of the silo and the engine ignites as soon as it is clear.  Maybe any ICBM guys here will share this thought: Was I the only one who held my breath just in case the engine didn't light and the whole thing clattered to the ground like an oversized shell casing?
