Do my eyes deceive me, or is this going to be a launch from a subsurface silo?

Dnepr's are launched from silos...

Yeah, I know.  The last Dnepr launch I saw was from an above-ground test silo.  I didn't realise that they also did civil launches from a military-style subsurface silo too.  I would have thought it would have been too difficult to pre-flight the payload down there.

Running a broadcast about CS2 at the moment.

Yes, these are the standard launches of the Dnepr.

Yes.  It is based on the warhead delivery system.  The low constant thrust allows precise targeting.  Much better to see it launching a Cryosat!
