Here's the Falcon 9 exploding as expected and T+3 minutes, which I missed capturing earlier.

Congretz to all people that worked hard to accomplish this Dragon In-flight abort test, that looks to have been successful.

Big bada boom, as expected — a crowd pleaser.

Once the crew capsule has safely ejected from the booster, the remains shred and go boom.  The capsule, off frame to the right, used its Draco thrusters to reorient and came in for a soft parachute landing at sea.

CONGRATS @SpaceX!

Here is a Hi-Res image GIF sequence of the abort recorded by NWS radar. One side is normal radar picture the other side is a debris detection radar normally used for tornado's. Looks like something flew off to onside which might of been the dragon aborting. Also you can see the Dragon flying off before been caught up with the explosion.

Click on it to play.

Lots more to come from our team, who did great again, but a special thanks to Steven for leading the updates on this launch (and most live launches) which takes so much pressure off myself and other team members as we keep the servers ticking over, and do the other things.

Site stayed up despite some really big Falcon Heavy Flight 1 style peaks! So thanks also to our L2 members who allow us to pay for these beefy server hamsters.
