The *last* Meridian?   Do we know what will replace the series or will the Russians switch to GEO satellites for the work?

SkyTerra 2 has been pulled from Proton-M/Briz-M Launch manifest per Boeing Satellite Launch Schedule dated 02-10-13:
http://www.boeing.com/boeing/defense-space/space/bss/launch/launch_sched.page?

SkyTerra 2's Boeing 702HP platform geo-mobile version built for LightSquared is being modified so it can be repurposed for a 2014 launch for Boeing's two satellite Mexsat contract placed by Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT) in 2010 and amended in December 2012. A launch vehicle for this Mexsat payload has not been disclosed yet by Boeing. This satellite has been renamed by Boeing and is now known as Morelos 3. Its Mexsat contract sibling, known as Centenario, is slated for a Proton-M/Briz-M launch in 2013 with orbital designation Mexsat-1.

Contract Signed for Two Proton launches of Intelsat Satellites
29.03.2013
International Launch Services (ILS) and Intelsat S.A. (USA) have announced a contract for two firm ILS Proton launch missions.

Over the past several years five Intelsat satellites have been orbited using ILS Proton. The most recent, Intelsat 23, was successfully deployed into a geostationary orbit in October 2012 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

Incorporated in 1995, ILS-International Launch Services is a U.S. company headquartered in Reston, near  Washington, D.C. ILS has exclusive rights to market the Russia’s heavy-lift Proton vehicle worldwide. The majority shareholder of ILS is the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center of Moscow, the designer and manufacturer of the Proton vehicle and Breeze M upper stage

Заключен контракт на два пуска ракеты-носителя «Протон» со спутниками связи «Интелсат»
29.03.2013
Компания International Launch Services Inc.(ILS) и спутниковый оператор Intelsat S.A.

September – EgyptSat-2 – Soyuz-U – Baikonur

Is Egyptsat-2 indeed an ongoing program? It was reported to have been postponed indefinetly in late 2011 and i have found no signs, that it has been restarted since.

Has anyone more recent info on this program

Apparently RSC Energia got the contract, using a completely new remote sensing platform. It looks like it's a done deal as Lopota has mentioned that elsewhere in interviews. Not sure about the launch date though - some sources say 2014.

I really wonder what brought Kazakh satellite from Vega to Dnepr...

Kazakhstan to launch first remote sensing satellite by year end
