Europe's first carbon-fibre rocket fuel tank, Phoebus, developed by @esa, @ArianeGroup and MT Aerospace, has finished its first round of tests in Augsburg, Germany 🇩🇪. The tank withstood 13 bar of supercooled -196°C liquid nitrogen… no leaks! The tank is now on its way to Unterlüß 🇩🇪, where it will go through liquid oxygen pressure testing at a Rheinmetall site.
Uplifting news! 🏗️📡 The 122-tonne, 35-metre reflector dish has been placed atop our new deep space communication antenna in Australia. The antenna, our fourth, will ensure that we can continue to support our expanding fleet of deep space missions across the Solar System.
