Tapatalk installation offer popup appears when I first open the forum on my Samsung Galaxy/Android smartphone.  This is before logging in.  This began within less than a week from today.  I have no ad blocker software activated in this circumstance.

Moderator:
It's an annoyance, given the work Tapatalk gives volunteer moderators here manually removing their annoying tag lines from thread posts by Tapatalk users.
Why do you have to remove the "annoying tag lines'?

I've found logging in with the device browser seems to fix most of the login issues with Tapatalk.

When I woke up this morning Nasaspaceflight was gone from my tapatalk, and I'm not able to add it again (can't find it).
I can see some of the threads in messages, but when clicking them I get a message that I don't have permission to view it.
I've tried wiping all tapatalk data and logging out/in
Is this a tapatalk issue, forum issue, or me issue?

Also, the X feed (Twitter) has been stuck for over a year and is now stuck on July 11, 2022. Very annoying.
This is the case in all browsers on all devices.
Please fix that :)

Offline Chris Bergin

Tapatalk is not something we're involved with. Any issues with their software needs to be directed to them.

The X feed does need fixing on the right of the screen. :)

I don’t know if this is the right place to report this, but NSF disappeared from my Tapatalk feed today.

Same here. Glad it’s not just me.

Tapatalk (on Android) has just released a new version that has absolutely destroyed its functionality. It's just absolutely shocking.

This has been my go-to way to come to NSF up to now. Some frustrations, but generally a great experience on a tablet. Then, *poof* - gone.

Ugh.

Martin

PS for anyone who hasn't yet received the update on their Android, you can turn off auto Updates in the Play Store. Tap the three bars, My Apps, select Tapatalk, tap the three dots, and un-tick the auto-update option.

It's my go to too.  (I said totoo!)

Other than not connecting with NSF, what else broke?  I am connected to one other forum and it looks just fine.

Tapatalk support forum has chatter about other forums disappearing, too.
From "The Rhetoric of Interstellar Flight", by Paul Gilster, March 10, 2011: We’ll build a future in space one dogged step at a time, and when asked how long humanity will struggle before reaching the stars, we’ll respond, “As long as it takes.”

What software does NSF use?
I'm at their support forum and don't see the chatter.  The forum is organized into app, or server-specific sections.  Are we on VBulletin? (Rings a bell somehow)
Maybe view source is my friend

Ok it's called SMF

This forum uses SimpleMachines, not vBulletin.

So - because @MeekGee quoted my note, I received, in Tapatalk, a notification of the mention ... even though my tapatalk app had lost the NASASpaceFlight.com forum registration. So I followed it, and TapaTalk offered me the chance to add the forum, which I did. Now, it's back (I did have to log back into the NSF site from TapaTalk to get access to features like L2 access).

I'm still fascinated that NSF doesn't show up when you SEARCH for it on TapaTalk. But, if quoting MeekGee, here, gets you the notification, perhaps you'll be able to add it.

I just love asynchronous application updates ...
