The Satellite is scheduled to be launched on the SpaceX Transporter 9 mission, planned for November 7, 2023. Grant of the STA by November 6, 2023 is needed to meet the communication needs for this classified satellite program.

This Vandenberg Falcon 9 launch follows the 27 October UTC Starlink 7-6 launch.  It also does follow likely follows the November 11 7 Transporter-9 launch, in mid November.

NGA Space Debris notice for the booster and fairing recovery.

Same coordinates as 7-6, but in a different order. ASDS 642km downrange.

It's not just Starship that's set to launch this week.

Justin Davenport (@Bubbinski) with the round-up:

https://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2023/11/roundup-3/

Given that Kimberly C is still in Port, and the Primary launch window opens in 1.5 days, we are likely looking at a one day delay on this mission.  Typical departure over the last 6 Starlink missions is 2.3 days prior to opening of launch window.

AFAICT, B1063.15 is the only likely booster for this mission - but it seems no one knows for sure.

Is it common to be this close to a launch attempt and still not know which booster?

Edit November 17: It's B1063.15.

Hopefully, everyone got some sleep from our exciting IFT-2 launch.  Back to the mundane Falcon 9 launches.

There was a small cold weather front moving through today and hopefully, it has passed Vandenberg by now.  Just slight rain south of the base.

As it is well past a CBS journalist’s bed time … I’ll say that F9/Starlink 7-7 will be the 85th F9-family launch of '23 and the 275th single-stick F9 flight overall; booster B1063 is making its 15th flight; a successful droneship recovery would be SpaceX's 195th and its 247th overall

Yep and try the other.

Nope, they're stuck too.  Typically that means SpaceX is delaying the launch.  Let's see, maybe employees are still tired from today acivities,.

Chatter that it lifted off.

No chatter about another 59 minutes delay.

Now chatter about scrubbing.   Not convinced yet.

Steven, got some info from another site concerning the status of flights:

just call Vandenberg directly and press 1# then 1# again, that will go directly to the Command Post and ask for status.

Just FYI.

IIRC, there was a reply to SpaceX’s post of standing down for the night that mentioned a storm rolling by his location. The user assumed upper level winds may be a bit high as a result.

Sorry I missed your question, but I left the computer after the scrub as it was late in the evening here. As mentioned above, it was from the SpaceX web page, which seems to be updated more quickly than the SpaceX Twitter account! Sorry I didn't provide the link.

Updated link for the Twitter livestream. I had to turn off tracking on my browser in order to access the link from the SpaceX web page!

Thank you Nosu, that was the fastest turnaround ever, just 8 minutes to and HD copy.

This can be attributed to the introduction today of a new update to our process, which pretty much makes it one-click to trigger everything from downloading the stream to generating the title/description/thumbnail and uploading to YouTube.

There's further improvements planned to make it slightly faster, but the main bottleneck remains by far the download speed from X/Twitter. Can't do much about this unfortunately.
