"...might make a late February window for the first launch of the Vulcan rocket very likely."

It's a new heavy-lift rocket. It hasn't arrived in Florida yet. The payload hasn't arrived in Florida yet. Integration and testing for this stack and its payload are not going to be rushed.

Then maybe somewhere within March if ULA wants to be precautious about launch preparations.

NET: No Earlier Than, NET 25 February.  Doesn't say anything about how close to that date is possible.  25 February is roughly 7 weeks away, and the 1st stage just got loaded into its container.  It'll probably take what, a month?, just to get to the cape.  2nd stage, payload integration, not to mention static fires, WDRs, etc.

Patience.

I understand, Vettedrmr.

I'm just agreeing with darkenfast and expanding on his "not going to be rushed" statement.

The @ulalaunch team got their new #VulcanRocket rocket moved safely to the #ULARocketShip well in advance of today's severe storms in N. Alabama - the area around the rocket factory was hit with very strong storms.  @torybruno

Almost. We got the booster in. Planned on loading Centaur V today, but the team had to retreat to the tornado shelter this morning. Storm now past. People and hardware are safe.

No, it only takes about 8 days to get the ULA barge from Decatur to Port Canaveral.

I was simply referring to the stage components for the Vulcan rocket to be used to launch the Peregrine lander. I agree that payload integration has to come after the components for the rocket are assembled together. Whether one or two wet dress rehearsals will take place remains to be seen.

And Payload Adapter/Payload Attachment Fitting which was loaded forward in front of the Vulcan core stage in the low bay portion of the RORO cargo deck (hard to see in photos). There is some other components being shipped as well.

Should arrive at Port Canaveral on Saturday afternoon/evening in advance of unloading the Vulcan rocket that is on board.
