Hi Chris....

I'm all signed up here now as you requested.

I intend to be at the launch no matter what, be it on Coco beach or somewhere better.  I've been waiting for a successful Tanking test before booking flights to the US to stand the best chance of it going up within the initial window.

Coco beach has some great views of the launch and maybe some of the best now NASA is looking like no one is allowed to see the launch on KSC property :(

I think the familes might be allowed into an area of the LLC, but not on the viewing gantry. The media are still waiting to hear if the press area will be anything but automated cameras.

I saw Delta 2 Swift go up while standing on a raised fishing jetty at the very northern end of Coco last November.  That gave a great view and you could see the tip of the rocket even while it was still on the ground.  I know the shuttle pads are much further north but that would be my choice of position if I couldn't get closer.....I imagine it will be rammed from very early on in the day though so doubt I'd be able ot get on there.

Thought I'd just mention, anyone with a passport issued before Oct.2004 need a visa to enter the US now.

You sure about that?

I thought it just had to be machine readable.  I had no problems in November.  Got me worried now!  :o

Sorry mate, I think I'm getting carried away with my situation :)

I need an "I" when I go over as it's work-related and classed as Media - a real lock down on the media! I meant to "quote" SRB as he's UK media.

Going over on vacation to see a launch and you're good with the passport.
