Deorbit C/L Rev P PCN 7 has a SV Update along with the loads..I have no way to know if it was actually done.
gotcha.
I do have a way to know if the uplink was done, and we didn't do it. ;-)

Also MCC will tell the crew if the SV is being uplinked.

STS 124 DEL pad as I heard it. Apologies for poor quality (I don't have my usual camera and a blackberry is a poor substitute):

Allow subject to scream. In space no one will hear.

Rule 8 on the One Orbit Late Available Flight rules cue card (found in the Entry Flight Supplement 3-16) is tank 5.

Rules 12 and 16 are to be struck out.

STA is now airborne

Online Chris Bergin

A heads up, that NASA TV will have Landing Site Operations Mgr Chris Hasselbring providing color commentary after landing between crew getting out of orbiter, through to as far as NTV will go with post landing ops.

So we should get some interesting insights into safing/ground crew ops etc.

Will we have a track of the orbiter..????

That link is for aircraft. The track for Discovery will be via MCC on NASA TV.

Rather fortunate screenshot ;) Weather is not going to be a factor at this stage...

Norm Knight ready to bring them home.
Norm Knight is the weather FD.
Richard Jones is the Entry FD.

Cool, that's my one allowable mistake out of the way early ;) (Thanks!)

Hi,

during HAC & Final approach operations I once again expect NASA-TV pictures from the cockpit - like HUD displays etc...

What I dont understand: I thought that TV coverage goes via KU-band and the "KU-antennas" are mounted in the payload-bay which is closed several hours before DOB.

So, how these TV-pictures are broadcasted if not via KU-band...?

Thanks in advance! :)

Kind regards and a happy landing for STS-124

Through the MILA tracking station, I believe:

correct.
video can also be downlinked through S-band, and during entry there is a handover from TDRS to S-band about 12 minutes prior to landing.

PLT and CDR should now be starting work on the Entry checklist deorbit procedures.
