Some discussion back and forth led Kelly to conclude that if the glare was minor, he prefers to use 15.

Is that because that's what he's trained on most or something?

Probably because for 15 it's a left turn in the HAC and CDR's get a better view out the window turning left...
GLS is go for main engine start!

Looks like DPS ENTRY CONFIG  was already in work. MCC confirms ready for the 'OPS 301 PRO'.

This loads the OPS 3 (Entry) flight guidance software into Discovery's GPCs. 4 GPCs have been configured with the Primary flight software (PASS) with the 5th (as usual) running the BFS (Backup Flight System) software.

EDIT: Correction...Moonbase_Alphan has it right...the second 'OPS 301 PRO' was just given.

The following should be in work any moment:

The BFS computer (GPC 5) has been given a go for 'OPS 301 PRO' This serves the same purpose as the previous 'OPS 301 PRO' however this time it is for the BFS machine.

Deorbit burn targets and possibly a State Vector update just uplinked.

CDR given go to perform the LOAD of the targets and initiate the timer for the burn.

no state vector uplink. that will come about 45 minutes prior to the d/o burn. The crew was given the go to take GPS into both the PASS and BFS though.

I do have a way to know if the uplink was done, and we didn't do it. ;-)

DEORBIT pad call up was lacking some detail for some reason. I'll just type what was called:

OMS BOTH.
TIG: 13/17:08:00.0
RCS I'CNT: NONE
TGO: 2:34
Notes: Treat PRI fail on L OMS as Second failure.

(I'm sure they usually provide WT, VGOs and ATTs here)
