Interesting also as on the cool L2 video of the VAB and OPF tour, the engineers are walking about in normal clothing. So it is that higher level you need to be in a clean suit, or is it when the PLBDs are open?
I saw an orbiter go over on a pass, 200 miles up. Was the nearest I've ever been to one and I was almost in tears (actually I was). Now I've just seen a post from someone who was five feet away. WOW.

We were thankful to go to the Launch Pads, and Columbia was on the pad for its STS-93 mission, I remember it clearly. Also, my grandfather was Processing Manager for the Orbiters Challenger and Discovery back in the old days.
were is that photo taken from, the shuttle OPF or in the station prossing room?NIKKI

The shuttle payloads are installed at the pad, so it's unlikely you'll find any ISS components in the OPFs...

Why does it take so long to frabricate a RCC panel?
