🔥Throttle Sweeps

Quote
💡 What are throttle sweeps?
Throttle sweeps refer to a type of test where the throttle setting of an engine or component are gradually varied (or "swept") across its full range, from minimum to maximum power, and sometimes back down again.

Quote
❓ What’s the purpose of throttle sweeps?
Throttle sweeps assess how components perform across the entire spectrum of its throttle capabilities, providing valuable data on its responsiveness, stability, and efficiency.

Since You Asked: Wanna Build Rockets ?

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to help build rockets—hear us out. Strong engineering fundamentals, creative thinking, and teamwork are core principles that drive our team. With backgrounds ranging from agriculture to electric vehicles, aviation, consulting, and architecture, it takes a wide range of skills to build, test, and launch a rocket.

Clean sheet design 🤝 PBF Printing 🤝 Test < than 3 months. 👇

Quote
With the Aeon R main injector, we've completed 14 design print test iterations—something impossible with traditional manufacturing methods.

Quote
Each iteration boosts performance and reliability. This rapid pace is a game-changer for rocket development.

Quote
Our main injector, utilizing powder bed fusion printing, is the perfect example of PBF in practice.

Quote
Traditional designs involve thousands of precision components assembled manually. With powder bed fusion, we simplify this into a single piece that prints in just days.

Quote
And we're not talking small tweaks—think large-scale form factor and architecture redesigns. This lets us continuously respond to test data and make real-time improvements.

Time to take a look at Terran R’s payload envelope, designed to strike the perfect balance of payload capacity 🤝 launch frequency 🤝 mass-to-orbit efficiency. 📸: fairing with humans for scale 🚶‍

From day 1, we designed Terran R with customer needs front and center. Industry analysts predict that over 20,000 satellites will need to reach space by 2030 — and they'll need a ride! 🚀 With most payloads consisting of a dozen or more satellites, each with a mass of up to 1,000 kg, Terran R steps in with the capability to launch up to 23,500 kg into orbit.

So these are made by Beyond Gravity in Emmen?
Makes sense, after all this is basically a slightly longer Ariane 64 fairing.

Brand new European space rocket Ariane-6 🚀 was launched successfully yesterday. Did you know that the tip of Ariane-6 is produced in Emmen, Switzerland🇨🇭?

And also from this journalist, who was at Emmen last year:

Impressive but you have only Ariane 6 fairing (version 64) in your illustration. This is NOT Relativity hardware here.
Here is my photo from my report at Beyond Gravity european production site in Emmen, Switzerland, 11 months ago.
Are they going to use the exact same fairings? This isn't unheard of, Ariane 4 fairing were also directly used on Titan 34D, some Interchangeability and commonality is possible.

I am confused, they actually said "Payload Enveloppe", not "Payload Fairing", are they just showing this - without any credit - to illustrate their fairing size, even if it's only that this doesn't feel very honest.

EDIT: Retweeted by Tim Ellis and reacted by Paul Horstink, BG VP
https://x.com/thetimellis/status/1828911365429572075

EDIT 2: In the past few hours Relativity updated their fairing size comparison on their website to show a taller fairing, which looks to be the same size as A64’s, and removed their previous comparison with the Ariane 62 fairing. So I guess that confirms that Terran R will use A64’s fairing.

⚒️ Build update: It's been one year since we announced the historic A2 test stand as the home for stage testing of Terran R, and the glow up is underway. New propellant farms are currently beginning to take shape.
