Huge rumble was just heard of @SpaceX McGregor from home (15+ mi. away) lasting 2+min! A friend that is closer believes it was a full-duration test of the booster (Falcon Heavy side core), based on plume and throttle sequence. If so, then: 2min25sec duration!🔥🚀🤩 #spacextests
This morning Michael Ellis from SpaceX confirmed the company is testing a Falcon Heavy side booster in McGregor, and Walter Lauderdale said the Air Force is targeting "late spring" for the USSF-44 mission that will use three new boosters.
A Falcon Heavy side booster that will support the USSF-44 mission for the @SpaceForceDoD next year completed a full-duration static fire test last week at SpaceX’s rocket development facility in McGregor, Texas
In the background is Grasshopper, which SpaceX used to test the technologies needed for propulsive landing of an orbital rocket
Since Grasshopper’s first flight in September 2012, SpaceX has landed 60 Falcon first stage rocket boosters and re-flown them 42 times
The Falcon Heavy side booster has gone horizontal, likely on its way to the Cape- as captured this past weekend by @EzekielOverstr1 🙌📸; and more from Tues night in McGregor: Tripod, the vertical Raptor engine test stand, ready to make the ground dance w/ its rumbling roars🔥🚀

It was spotted during the weekend parked outside the factory in Hawthorne and it was seen yesterday in Maricopa, AZ going east. Should already be there by the end of this weekAre there pics?Yup, and links! Looks like one of the USSF-44 side boosters escaped the roost unseen! Spotted in Lafayette, LA at the same parking lot boosters have stopped at before.https://twitter.com/KLFY/status/1354115544237170690
Well look what is vertical. More pics to come
We have a booster vertical at @SpaceX McGregor! FH center core maybe but doesn’t have the blue SpaceX logo down the middle that I could see so could be F9. Maybe @bluemoondance74 can get a more straight on shot. Maybe this is the massive test we heard last night 🤠
