Can we go back to discussing the IFT-2 mission?

I feel a separate thread should be made to discuss how to post stuff correctly on the forum.

my life literally revolves around space exploration
Do you mean you work in the industry?  That would add credence to what you say, though evidence and a convincing argument still generally counts for more than an impressive CV for most people.

Or do you just mean you are very interested in space exploration? Because you're on a spaceflight forum so its fair to assume it applies to all of us.

Pretty sure it’s the latter; when he first posted on the forums about a year ago, he said he was almost 13 years old…

That explains a lot.

Realize when you post in these forums that a sizable fraction of people here work in the aerospace industry or have done so in the past. A number of others are degreed engineers and/or have technical backgrounds in fields analogous or adjacent to the aerospace industry. So when you post stuff like "My life literally revolves around spaceflight" to those kinds of folks, you won't be taken seriously.

Free advice being worth what you paid for it: read a LOT more. Post a LOT less. At least until you have enough formal education and general background understanding of the science, technology and legal/regulatory issues relevant to the threads you continue posting in.

1.  I understand and agree with those who want to end this "hand wringing" and drama and get back to the topic.

2.  But I think it is important to deal properly with a young person with an admirable passion for space but a helter-skelter approach to sharing his thoughts.

3.  I appreciate the (generally) patient and helpful tone and content offered to Starmang10.  I would add to that, "If you want to be taken seriously, stop writing like you're texting your buddy; use correct spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation."

4.  Would it be appropriate to create a separate thread where situations like this could be discussed--civilly and helpfully, or are private messages more appropriate?  If so, someone create it, or I will try.

I was this guy 62 years ago...pumped up about Mercury and Gemini...and would rather nurture than dampen his enthusiasm.

Yep, we need a new thread. This has gone off a cliff.

Ok new Discussion Thread. This is in the format of a partner with the upcoming launch update thread, so it was needed anyway. Please do not ruin that one, and we'll mod it to clear out the pointless posts without warning. Report to mod any derailing.
