Massey’s
Unfortunately for Massey’s, it’s still being repaired after the “incident” with S36, so not much happens there at the moment, but we did still see some testing. TT17 did some testing in the can crusher.

It's Tony De La Rosa... I don't create this stuff; I just report it.  I also cover launches and trim post (Tony TrimmerHand).

Massey’s

Massey’s had another explosion?! Not quite - After TT17 successfully completed its 7th, 8th and 9th tests on the 19th it began its 10th test which resulted in some form of structural failure causing the cryogenic fluids to leak out and a huge uncontrolled vent of gases. Although explosions and hardware failures are not ideal, it is sometimes the goal of testing. This way Spacex learns the limits and failure points of their hardware that can be used to optimise the future hardware and provide the operating window of the hardware.

B18.3 arrived at Massey’s and awaits the removal of TT17 from the can crusher to begin its testing campaign.

That’s all for this week. Will B18.3 survive its testing? Will S38 successfully complete its static fire testing campaign? When do you think the first flight from Florida will be?

I was informed by SpaceX security today that the road to SpaceX Starbase Massey's test site is now officially permanently closed to the public. "Massey Way" road is now part of the off-limits federal wildlife refuge, and 2 new signs have been posted on either side of the road.

Testing at Starbase does not seem to be slowing down following the B18 accident, as Test Tank 39.1 was rolled out of Mega Bay 2 and towards Masseys for its own testing campaign.

The new frames fabricated at Sanchez were moved over to Massey's recently and much speculation around them as to what they could be for. Still a few question marks but its looking like a vertical structure as part of the static fire test stand. Some options include docking and fuel transfer qualification structure ahead of on orbit transfer tests next year. Again as always breakover was talked about but this is looking very fixed into the ground with no pivot points seen anywhere so ruled that out. Unsure of what the final height will be.

Large frames that were constructed at Sanchez have now moved to Massey's its looking like the static fire stand and flame trench are getting reinforcement work done for future testing.

The ship thrust simulator is staged at Masseys to roll back to the Production Site tonight. Ship 39 will likely be the next thing to use this stand after the hold down clamps have been installed on the stand.

Overnight at Starbase, the ship cryo stand (and a step ladder along for the ride) was rolled back from Masseys towards the Production Site. Could we be seeing a festive holiday parade with S39 to Masseys in a few days??
