Launch September 19, 2022, 00:18 UTC (September 18, 8:18 pm EDT), from Canaveral SLC-40, on booster 1067-6. First stage successfully landed aboard Just Read the Instructions.

Payload 54 Starlink satellites to 53.2 degree inclination on a northeastern trajectory. Initial orbit of approximately 232 x 336 km.

Starlink v1.5 satellite mass is now about 300kg after the addition of laser ISL terminals.

Cross-post; from this I propose Starlink 4-34 will launch on 1058.14.

First stages for Starlink launches are often, but not always, chosen if they have waited longest since its previous launch.

By the above two criteria, 1060.14 should perform Starlink 4-2.

(The rotation was superseded for Starlink 4-27, 4-23, and 4-20.)

None of the available first stages would require a Static Fire.

~22.5 hour between.

They have done shorter gaps between launches, but each time involved a west coast launch. So if this happens it will be shortest gap between launches from same coast.

This will make it a bit challenging for Starlink 4-34 to launch on Sept 11. I think SpaceX may only have a shot at getting JRTI in place in time if it departs within hours of its port return today, which would leave about 72 hours to travel ~650 km downrange.

A while after receiving the cancel-and-replace NGA Space Debris notice for 4-2 (which I posted in that topic), I received cancel-and-replace notices for the other two Space Debris notices that I had posted in that topic, though I wasn't they belonged there, and it was suggested that they might be for this launch.

These new notices (the same notice for two different Navigational Areas) now have a start time on the 12th of 03:53 UTC, which suggests that they are for this launch.

Edit: I just noticed there is no hazard period for September 13, even though there is a Rocket Launching hazard period for late on the 12th extending into the 13th. The Rocket Launching notice has seven hazard periods. These Space Debris notices only have six. Oops! (The original notices, which these canceled-and-replaced, did have seven.)
