Falcon 9 launches 22 Starlink satellites to orbit at 11:38 p.m. ET Saturday night, tracing a beautiful reflection in the waters north of Cape Canaveral. Second 17th flight of a booster this week!

As @elonmusk said: “Rocket reuse is happening at scale”

Some reusability stats for this launch (Starlink Group 6-18):

Booster B1060.17 turnaround time: 69 days 23 hours 48 minutes
(its previous mission was Starlink Group 5-15 on Jul 16, 2023 UTC).

FYI: median turnaround time for Falcon 9 / Heavy boosters is currently 57.65 days *
* – based on the last 30 launches, excluding new first stages.

Launchpad SLC-40 turnaround time: 3 days 23 hours 59 minutes
(the previous launch from this pad was Starlink Group 6-17 on Sep 20, 2023 UTC).

It's another four-days turnaround of SLC-40 for the second time in a row, resulting in a 3 launches from this launchpad in just 8 days!

FYI: median turnaround time for SLC-40 is currently 6.84 days *
* – based on the last 30 launches.

The same type of stats for previous SpaceX launches may be found on this spreadsheet online.

Two 17-flight boosters!

Four days ago, B1058 completed a record-breaking 17th mission — B1060 launched tonight becoming the second Falcon 9 booster to hit that milestone.

B1060 previously launched GPS III-3, Turksat 5A, Transporter-2, Intelsat G-33/G-34, Transporter-6, and 11 Starlink missions.

NSF coverage is not complete without the following: Shiro provides the reusability statistics; Steven Pietrobon for his real-time launch coverage; Future Space Tourist, Perchlorate, and Zubenelgenubi for their wonderful posts of pictures and important launch stats; and of course, the NSF staff providing the live video coverage. All of your input makes this and every launch very well documented and appreciated by me and all the NSF members.

In appreciation of your continued efforts.

17 again - 🔊 Starlink 6-18 🔊

Volume 🆙

Last night’s flight of Falcon 9 was one for the record books: second booster to fly 17 times (B1060) in one week, 200th reflight of Falcon 9, and 69th flight for SpaceX in 2023.

The consistency in launch times is leading to almost daily visible flyovers at about the same time each night. Always amazing.

JRTI droneship, towed by SpaceX support ship Bob should arrive at Port Canaveral early Wednesday morning with F9 B1060.

Bob + JRTI + B1060 returned to PC on Sep 27 @ 5:58am (with only one fairing half?)

JRTI droneship delivered Falcon 9 back to Port Canaveral this morning just before daybreak.
Real story here is only one fairing half recovered :(
Can't even remember the last time SpaceX missed one on the East Coast!

Crosby Skipper returned to PC on Sep 28 @ 3:40am ET.  Had been out at sea for several missions in a row.  I can’t see clearly via NSF stream on my phone but maybe fairing wreckage on deck?
