So we have nothing on Shiyan 26, haven't we?
I don't have a specific task, weight or photo for any of the Shiyan satellites.

Look! Tsinghua Earth Science Satellite is launched into space

At 12:03 on November 11, 2024, Beijing time, the first satellite named after the Department of Earth System Science of Tsinghua University, the "Tsinghua Earth Science" satellite, was launched on the Lijian-1 Yao-5 carrier rocket, and the satellite successfully entered the predetermined orbit.

The "Tsinghua Earth Science" satellite was developed by a research team led by Li Fenghui, a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Earth Science and the founder of Tianjin Yunyao Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yunyao Aerospace"), and was named for free use by the Department of Earth Science of Tsinghua University. The Department of Earth Science analyzes the global GNSS occultation detection satellite data and other observation data provided by Yunyao Aerospace, and provides wind speed forecast data to Yunyao Aerospace, providing technical support for the company to carry out wind speed forecast business based on satellite data.

Professor Luo Yong, director of the Department of Earth System Science at Tsinghua University, said that Earth system science is based on the cross-disciplinary development of traditional earth science, ecology, economics, computer science and technology. It studies the overall behavior of the earth system with a global and unified holistic view, system view and multi-scale time and space scale, so that humans can better understand the environment on which they depend for survival and its future changes. The launch of the "Tsinghua Earth Science" satellite is a good attempt for the Department of Earth Science to cooperate with high-quality project platforms, which can gather advantageous resources and give play to the advantages of interdisciplinary cross-disciplinary studies.

Aiming at the construction of my country's meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation infrastructure and national security needs, the "Tsinghua Earth Science" satellite is the 32nd satellite of the "Yunyao Meteorological Constellation" 90 satellite launch plan. The core meteorological detection payload is mainly the GNSS occultation detection payload. The GNSS occultation detection payload can obtain the temperature, humidity, pressure of the atmosphere and the electron density information of the ionosphere by inverting the refraction data of the GNSS signal.
The payloads as below
Shiyan-26A~C 试验二十六号A~C
Jilin-1 Gaofen 05B 吉林一号高分05B
Jilin-1 Pintai 02A03 (Tianzhi-2C) 平台02A03(天智二号C)

Joint Aerospace breaks through technical barriers: satellite costs are expected to be halved by 2025 and reduced by 80% by 2026

Recently, a satellite named Tianyan 24 (Juntian-1 03) was successfully launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center by the Lijian-1 Yao-5 carrier rocket of China Science and Technology Aerospace. This satellite was independently developed by Juntian Aerospace, marking an important breakthrough in the industry in integrated modular development and integration of key technologies.

Tianyan 24 not only uses a new generation of satellite-borne computing systems, integrated information systems and other new technologies, but also carries a binocular camera with high-resolution observation capabilities. This makes the satellite have broad application prospects in many fields such as geological disaster monitoring, agricultural and forestry ecological assessment, and emergency response of power facilities.

Zhang Yabin, chief technology officer of Juntian Aerospace, revealed in an exclusive interview that the successful launch of this satellite is of great significance to the company. He emphasized that this is the first practice of integrated modular design in satellite manufacturing, aiming to reduce the weight of satellites, improve quality, and lay a technical foundation for the development of the next generation of low-cost modular satellites.

Zhang Yabin also said that through the application of these advanced technologies, it is expected that the development cost of satellites in the future will be greatly reduced, and may even reach half of the current industry cost. He further pointed out that this cost reduction process is not achieved overnight, but requires continuous upgrading and verification of second-generation and third-generation products.

Joint Aerospace also plans to build an intelligent satellite factory to meet the market demand for mass-produced satellites. The factory is expected to cover an area of nearly 10,000 square meters and adopt intelligent, flexible and reconfigurable production lines to quickly adapt to the manufacturing needs of various satellites. This move will undoubtedly further enhance the company's competitiveness in the field of satellite manufacturing.

In general, the successful launch of Tianyan 24 not only demonstrated Joint Aerospace's technical strength in satellite development, but also laid a solid foundation for the company's future development in satellite cost reduction and mass production.

Zhejiang University launches another satellite! Sends back the first image

The Oman Intelligent Computing Satellite (WJ-1B), developed by the Spacecraft Intelligent Technology Team led by Wang Chunhui of Zhejiang University, was successfully launched at 12:03 on November 11, 2024 on the Lijian-1 Yao-5 carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in my country. The subsequent satellite carried out on-orbit tests, completed a series of operations such as sailboard deployment, attitude stabilization, and payload startup, and completed the first image download that night.

This satellite is the team's second intelligent satellite after the launch of the Intelligent Emergency No. 1 Satellite (WJ-1A) in 2023, and it became the first satellite of Oman. Compared with the WJ-1A satellite, the star has an optical resolution better than 1 meter, and can also carry out on-orbit intelligent satellite networked communications, space-based cloud computing, and remote sensing large models. A number of new technology verifications.

During the development of the WJ-1B satellite, the team independently completed the overall design of the satellite, based on the core "string" platform stand-alone and intelligent payload system, integrated industry advantage supply chain resources, and the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation assisted in the final assembly and testing.

any know nord location testing iot and position testing ?

If you're specifically interested in northern test sites, there's no detailed information in the results, but regions like Scandinavia or Northern Canada are well known for testing IoT in harsh environments for applications like logistics, monitoring, and energy systems.

Resolution 0.2m; Field of view 13.5km; Mass 200kg
At 250 km altitude the mirror of the telescope on board the satellite would be 80 cm in diameter for this theoretical resolution of 20 cm.
At 500 km altitude, it's a mirror of 160 cm in diameter, all in 200 kg of satellite!  :o
