Many believe they're going to Mcgregor to be tested though which makes no sense to me if they're being transported in this way.

Not entirely out of the question if you wanted to see when they explode with specific damage.

AN RGV flyover showed COPV testing at Masseys. Can a pressure test short of destruction show unacceptable flaws? Could these be rejects going back to the manufacturer?
We are on the cusp of revolutionary access to space. One hallmark of a revolution is that there is a disjuncture through which projections do not work. The thread must be picked up anew and the tapestry of history woven with a fresh pattern.

It seems like microphones might pick up issues before kablooeyhood is reached. Or measurements at pressure being outside expectations.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Strain sensors, and stop the test just before "kablooeyhood".

Acoustic was what I had in mind for delamination and fiber breakage, but my COPV knowledge is slim enough that there might be other failure modes that wouldn't show up. Would acoustic and pressure variance cover all the bases?

Maybe something for the guys on the spit spot to explore.

Yes! Then a CAT scan see exactly where the problem is before physically exposing it for examination.

Something that they do with metal cylinders is liquid pressure change with volume change and see it fits a specific curve. Don't know if they can do that with COPV's. Seems like they could. When already full with liquid, basically a hydraulic cylinder pushing in a specific volume of liquid and noticing the pressure change.
With ELV best efficiency was the paradigm. The new paradigm is reusable, good enough, and commonality of design.
Same engines. Design once. Same vehicle. Design once. Reusable. Build once.

Confirmed

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth will travel to Brownsville and Fort Worth, Texas, tomorrow, to visit SpaceX and Lockheed Martin. Secretary Hegseth will deliver his third major speech since becoming Secretary of War. He will deliver remarks to the workforce and leaders at SpaceX, alongside its founder, Elon Musk. Secretary Hegseth will also administer the oath of enlistment to the next generation of American warfighters.

This visit is a continuation of the "Arsenal of Freedom" tour and a direct follow-up to Secretary Hegseth's call to action delivered to defense executives last fall at Fort McNair.

For too long, Pentagon bureaucracy has hindered the speed and might of our manufacturing base, obstructing innovation and warfare solutions from companies like SpaceX and Lockheed Martin. Under the leadership of President

If there's any engineering there, it's re-engineering the Pentagon bureaucracy.

Which to be fair, needs doing.

But my ears are bleeding from the bureaucratese.
