The Mexican side of the Rio Grande and beach is about 3 miles from the launch site, while South Padre is about 5 miles from the launch site.  Has the Mexican government taken any action during these test launches to restrict access to their portion of the beach?  If not, has anyone attempted to watch a launch from the Mexican side of the border?

Someone here posted a video of the SN10 flight from the Mexican side. Not sure which thread it's in. Quite a crowd had gathered to watch.

They didn't build any more fire hoses on the pad since SN10 did they?

Stressful.  Obviously more successful than SN9, Raptors looked great all the way down, skirt is off the pad and legs are down.  But it’s be really nice if it didn’t blow up.....

Hopefully we can now see if the big Sarens SPMT thing is used to pick up a landed Starship.  :)

Big congrats to SpaceX.

So no one has attached a drone to the end of a garden hose?

Program the Boston Robotics dog to envision SN15 as a fire hydrant. Fire problem solved.

Huh. Now you mention it, there is a definite resemblance.  :D

Probably not, since it is so close to the edge of the pad. My guess is they will need a crane for this one.

Congrats to SpaceX.

The 4th was not with them, but SN15 had its Revenge of the 5th. Flawless Victory!

Stayed up (well, lying in my bed) till 0100 here in Germany (2300 UTC). Didn't regret it. Wenn I closed the laptop it was still "steaming". I was still afraid it might explode, but SN15 didn't disappoint!

Big milestone for Starship and SpaceX! Now onward to supersonic flight and higher altitudes!

Big thank you to all the folks at NASA Spaceflight.com, Mary, LabPadre, Tim Dodd and all the others (WAI, Marcus House, etc.) for their coverage and dedication.

To say it with Felix from WAI: You rock!

Just spit-balling possibilities for future flight profiles they could test with near-term Starship serial numbers, and I wondered if there would be any value in trying to replicate the flight path of a Falcon 9 booster with return to pad.

Might there be some use in calibrating the aero performance of Starship reentry against >75 returned F9 boosters for which they have significant data? Obviously would be very approximate, since no reentry burn, and belly-flop plus flip'n'burn would have very different dynamics (basically talked myself out of it by this point), but yeah, thoughts anyone?

It has to belly flop when re-entering the atmosphere.  Also falling like a skydiver helps slow down the decent without using fuel.  Starship will have very little fuel left when returing from space.  They want to get this type landing down pat before going orbital.

I presume next flight tests will be made with proven flight Serial numbers like SN15, this could speed up the process of testing.

Any clues about next step for SX test compagn.

I thought the whole point of this development path is to keep iterating. I'm not sure what if any differences there are in SN16 relative to SN15, but I'd also like to know if SN16 will fly higher/farther than SN15 did, or if it will attempt a similar flight.

Is there any thought to reflying SN15?
