I'll risk a repost, as last time I posted this, it was minutes before another post, and I think my post was missed. If not, please just ignore this one. Anyway:

Just a small suggestion: could the "like" and "quote" button be moved below each post, perhaps beside the "report to moderator"-link? As I see it, you'll always be reading/looking the whole post through, before deciding to like or quote it. As it is, if it's a longer post, you'll have to scroll up to "like", then scroll down to see the next post. There are a lot of long posts with many images, and it can be disorientating when the side reloads, and you have to find where you were when you clicked the like button.

As I said, it's a small matter, but I think it'd give a better flow.

That does make sense to have the Like buttons following the text box.  I agree it would aid in the flow of reading and participating in posts/threads.

How about a user option to reverse order the posts (most recent first)?
Often what I want to read is most recent.

This option is already available.

Go to Profile > Modify Profile >  Look and Layout

Then tick the "Show most recent posts at the top" box

Personally, and to clarify, if this switch would revert the order from "earliest post on top" to "newest on top" on a >per page< basis, then the change would be ideal for me. YMMV of course.

[snip]

Edit: maybe you could put the "sort" button on the far right of the header line, which now has "Author" on the left, "Topic" in the middle, and nothing on the right
With the frequent UPDATES today on DEMO2 return, I notice again that this would be helpful as it saves a lot of 'scrolling to bottom for newest'. YMMV.

Is there still an effort to enable dark mode on the mobile site or desktop site?

The desktop has been available for some time.  Look under Profile and look and feel options, last option
Dark forum theme *** THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS ***

There's no dark mode under Profile > Look and Layout options.

Dark mode is there, but only for L2 members.

I have to admit I don't like that dark mode at all...
