Inspection time for Discovery.

Beautiful city lights as seen from Discovery... in the video they look more impressive but I got some screencaps nontheless...

Those are Iranian and Arabian cities, according to the maps shown by MCC.

Seems like they're working an issue with one of Discovery's Flash Evaporator System units.

I'll keep an eye out for a MER Problem report on that. Might be references in the upcoming MMT presentations.

They are noting the issues as 'minor'

"We can certainly work with it" - was the note in regards to the loss of RMS End Effector Auto Release Capability - on the MER problem list.

50 mins to the next OMS burn (both engines).

Thanks. So how come they NASA always get GMT one our ahead? According to the charts at the beginning of this thread its 18:56 but it is actually 17:56 in the UK.
