There could be as many as 27 launches from China in 2016.

If Shenzhou 11 is scheduled for May then that would imply Tiangong 2 will be launched in April at the latest, rather than the general "TBD".

Also, do we know for sure than there will be a Shenzhou 12 mission to Tiangong 2?   I thought that we would see SZ11 and then the operations with the Tianzhou  cargo freighter would take up most of Tiangong's mission.

I wonder if Tianzhou really will be on the maiden CZ-7 flight ..... ?

Then I wonder if China will surpass Russia to become first in the number of launches...

I don't think there is a possibility of this for 2016, as Russia normally has 30+ launches recent years.

According to Spaceflight Now, the United States has 33 flights scheduled for this year: 15 ULA, 15 SpaceX, and 3 Orbital ATK.
It could be a real race.

I'm affraid the schedule is quite unreliable. It's only imagination.

Divide the SpaceX number by two will probably give a closer number to reality

The Bartolina Sisa satellite project was delayed "sine die" last August, don't expect a launch in 2016! It has been written elsewhere that it can be expected in the next 10 years...

China launch schedule

2017

NLT - CZ-3B/G2 - XSLC - Nicasat-1
NLT - CZ-2D (?) - JSLC, LC43/603 (?) - Nicasat-2

I gather this refers to a declaration by an adviser to the president of Nicaragua last November.
However I would take it with caution having not seen any confirmation in Chinese media.

2016
April 30 - CZ-4B - TSLC, LC9 - Aleph-1, —uSat-1, —uSat-2

Aleph-1 is not a payload of its own, but —uSat-1 & 2 are the first satellites in the Aleph-1 constellation.
The —uSats are secondary payloads foing into a 500 km SSO together with a yet unknown payload (likely a Yaogan).

Here is the information about these satellites, that i currently have: http://space.skyrocket.de/doc_sdat/nusat-1.htm

In an interview after successful launch of M3-S satellites, the Director of CSNO (China Satellite Navigation Office) told that 18 more Beidou satellites will be launched by end of 2018 to serve President Xi's "One Belt One Road" strategy and a total number of 40 navigation satellites will be launched for the next 5 years, i.e. during the 13th five-year plan.
