It doesn't look like a standard payload shroud, with the additional bulge on the side. Is the Don family of satellites related to the Yantar design. I've had trouble to find reliable data on this payload. One book says that the satellites is destructed by explosion once it reaches 200km altitude, can this be confirmed. And what way of download does the Don use, electronicly or through the Potok system?

Don (a.k.a. Orlets-1 or 17F12) is a film-return reconsat. It features 8 small return capsules for frequent film delivery. The main body does, unlike the Kobalt satellites, feature a large return vehicle. Thus at the end of the mission the main part of the satellite is detonated before reentry. The service module of the satellite might be related to the Yantar service module. A larger version (Orlets-2, Yenissei) with 20 capsules was launched twice on Zenit-2 LVs.

RESURS-DK1 REMOTE PROBING SATELLITE SUCCESSFULLY TESTED
A Russian-made Resurs-DK1 satellite for Earth remote probing has successfully been tested for its flight and design capability. The satellite was launched June 15 from the Baikonur cosmodrome, the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) reported. The test results are positive. The space vehicle has confirmed the assigned characteristics.
Now it is ready to start surveying the Earth on customer orders, reported the Roscosmos' press-service. A meeting of the State Commission is slated for September 21 to discuss issues of acceptance of the vehicle and subsequent transfer of it for operation. The Resurs-DK-1 is designed for remote probing the Earth with a solution of 1m for the needs of the RF defense ministry and commercial customers.
There is a scintcilliational telescope, ARINA, installed on the satellite with the help of which Russian and Italian scientists are, for the first time, trying to promptly forecast earthquakes. The Resurs-DK-1 is also equipped with a Russian- European spectrometer, PAMELA, with the help of which scientists will attempt to penetrate into an unknown world of dark matter of the Universe. Within the framework of the Russian- Italian project, Rome-Pamela', there will be studied space radiation flows, above all, positrons and antiprotons containing data on nature of dark matter, the Roscosmos stressed. Scientists from Germany and Sweden are also involved in the project. The Resurs-DK-1 will be operating on a near-circle orbit at an altitude of up to 610 km during 3 years at minimum.
