Arianespace Flight VA210: Liftoff!
November 10, 2012 – Ariane Flight VA210
Ariane 5 has lifted off on its 66th mission, carrying the EUTELSAT 21B and Star One C3 telecommunications satellites on Arianespace’s sixth heavy-lift mission of 2012.
The two payloads are to be deployed by Ariane 5 during a flight of 33 minutes.
Once in its orbital position of 21.5° East, EUTELSAT 21B will operate for the European-based Eutelsat Communications – providing coverage for data, professional video and government services over Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.
Star One C3 will join the fleet of Brazil’s Star One – an Embratel company – with a footprint encompassing Miami and the entire South America region – including the Andean countries of Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela.
