Sorry, but if my cell phone only worked when I had a clear view of the sky, like Iridium, I wouldn't have one. Cellular phones will always be smaller and lighter than their satellite counter parts, and forget about 4g speeds.

If you wanted a thriving Commerical ELV market, you should have lobbied for ITAR fixes. That's what killed the launch market.
Umm.. ITAR restrictions didn't hit the industry until 1999. We're talking about the effect of shuttle on the launch market in the 70s and 80s.
