As of this past Sunday, NASA 905 was set to leave JFK on Friday for DFRC.
Thanks.

Sad that Endeavour, and her sisters, will never be powered up again! :'(

Officials say the center has now raised, combined with other donations, nearly half of the $200 million it needs to transport Endeavour from Florida, build a temporary hangar, and design and construct a permanent museum wing that will house the spacecraft when it arrives this fall.

That was fast, things are looking up for the vertical display, hopefully they will keep her payload bay doors closed though.... (not much to see in there when delivered anyhow)

nside Orbiter Processing Facility-2 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, technicians use a special crane to lift a fuel cell out of space shuttle Endeavour's payload bay. All three of Endeavour's fuel cells were removed and will be drained of fluids. The hydrogen and oxygen dewars which feed reactants to the fuel cells remain in Endeavour's midbody and will be purged with inert gases and vented down.

Found a couple of stills on the structure being built to house Endeavour at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.

This is construction of the Samuel Oschin Space Shuttle Endeavour Display Pavilion. It will hold Edeavour for the next several years, until the new Air & Space Center is constructed.

View inside Endeavour's Aft middeck as the airlock hatch is closed for the last time (though her airlock was removed)

And reinstalling food pantry, a bit confused why as I thought she was on a diet for the eventual vertical display:

Construction update for the temporary facility

Posted a comment on their FB re: earthquake magnitude. I hope they didn't cut any corners on a "temporary" structure.

Anyone know when the replica main engines are to be installed on Endeavour (and Atlantis)?
