will Chinasat 10 cover the middle east ??? ??
Not much at Ku band. At C band you'll get around 40 dBW EIRP in Iran, 39 dBW in the UAE/Qatar/Bahrain and then only 10° elevation in Iraq.
China Satcom describes the coverage as "China and some countries and regions in West and South Asia".

A minor quibble with Rui's article.   If writing about Ariane-5 does he include comments about its first launch and a photo of its failure?   The screw-up with the maiden CZ-3B launch was more than a decade and a half ago!

Yes Phillip, if I write any article about an Ariane-5 launch I would make note of the historical fact that was that lasunch failure on the first launch, I, refering to an historical fact, nothing more than that.
