Talking about tiered approaches to acceptable risk. "Failure is not an option" Agency-wide is not going to get us game changing technology.

That's over. Apparently they are going to post a recording.

Was interesting! They were talking about all manner of sci-fi stuff at one point (nano propulsion or something). It was a Glenn guy that was asking them to seriously look at nuclear propulsion.

I just caught the tail end of it, but on the link for the OCT page they gave out at the end there is a video of another talk he gave a week or two back discussing the new approach.

Not surprisingly, as Glenn is traditionally the NASA home of such things (though MSFC has had some involvement too). Vastly more exciting would be a positive sign of support from the Administration/OSTP, but I doubt that will happen any time soon (if ever).
