that's the plan.  I'm proofing FD1 HD highlights now to make sure the encoding didn't mess up and I should be uploading it starting soon.

I also have other STS-135 material to process, proof and post eventually (RSS retraction, crew arrival at KSC earlier this week, launch and launch replays, etc) and shuttle documentary that NASA aired earlier in the week, etc.

For the record, NASA TV apparently had an audio problem during the ascent, from about T+3min to T+4min, specifically from 11:31:50 ET to 11:33:15 ET.  Audio dropped to silence on all 4 public services in the satellite multiplex.  Video was working throughout, although hard to tell because it was the ET shot and the clouds were barely moving below.  The bug was rotating though.  I guess their audio switcher crashed or something.
I'm asking around here about getting a copy of the clean audio of launch, but it's a little early on a Saturday morning.  The ACR folks did post a 1 GB WAV file:
http://www.archive.org/download/STS-135/07-08-11_STS-135_Launch.wav

That's a little big to be downloading on a bandwidth leash.  Has anybody checked this to see if the audio covers the NASA TV broadcast outage?

If I find out anything further, I'll update.

Hey, what's 1 more GB when I've already blown the bandwidth budget with L2. :)

Just listened, and this file doesn't have the audio dropout.  The recording starts just prior to the hold at T-9 with BFS preflight uplink loading and ends just after ET sep.  What this file includes that we initially missed is:

The 2 ENG TAL readback
CAPCOM noting launch was in-plane +2:30 for the ECAL contingency pages
Updated no-comm abort VIs for PTA and PTM
The NEGATIVE RETURN call

It's a lot on the road -- only get 5 GB per month for this. :)

Cool -- thanks for checking.  That will do at a minimum.  (Although it looks like they've changed the file name.)

I'll probably still see about what we can get "clean" from a video standpoint, although IIRC, that embedded graphic was around earlier in the day, too.  I switched over here in time to catch the Negative Return call; the video originating from here was fine, but usually monitor a broadcast channel for commentary and reference.

STS-135 Rollout - Video File clip - H264 AVC format, 720p resolution.  About 1.1 GB in size.

Use HJSPLIT (free software) or other methods to combine the 3 files into one file.

Oustanding as always, thanks rsmath!  I just downloaded them all at 100 Mbps, woohoo!

For the record, when that audio outage occurred during the climb to orbit, I immediately dialed up the NASA TV phone line (321-867-1220) and heard the commentary.  So whatever the failure was, it was between their control room and the NASA TV distribution.

STS-135 RPM - not captured in HD by the camera on the ISS, but it was captured from NASA HD channel so it might be the cleanest available video copy of the RPM.

H264 AVC format, about 800 MB in size.

Use HJSPLIT (free software) or other methods such as the DOS COPY command to join the multiple parts into one file.
