Is that a B under the serial number ?   (Sorry, lousy eyesight.)   If it is then maybe it's indicating we are seeing the Blok B (=V in English), partially answering a question which I have posted in this section.

Yes it is "B"----> engl. "V"
B is "Б"

Does anyone know if the "B" (= V) is the Blok designator for the strap-on or whether it means something else?

Each Blok has its own 3 line designation. The first line identifies version/cosmodrome, the second line is the Serial Number and the third line is the Blok. Earlier flights only had 2 line designation and a 3 line designation may be a form of quality control.

The next rockets for Progress-MS are:-
Soyuz-2-1a №У15000-030 with fairing №У15000-118
Soyuz-2-1a №Н15000-033 with fairing №Н15000-119

These come from documents to acknowledge completion of contract for their transportation from factory to the launch site.
http://www.zakupki.gov.ru/epz/contract/contractCard/document-info.html?reestrNumber=4770238802717000023

Rocket Soyuz-2-1a №У15000-030 with fairing №У15000-118 both have factory serial number 20М137С; 20th machine of the 137th series.

Fairing №Н15000-119 should be 1М145С, if I understand things.

From the 139th series there are dedicated sequences for each type of item.
139 - Soyuz-FG
140 - Soyuz-2-1a
143 - Soyuz-ST-B
145 - fairing type 11С517А2
146 - fairing type 11С517А3
147 - fairing type 81КС
152 - Soyuz-2-1a (372РН16)
154 - Soyuz-2-1b (372РН17)

I guess 141 is 1b and 142 is ST-A?

According to other documents Soyuz-2-1a №Н15000-033 should be 4М140С; part of an order for three rockets also including 5М140С and 6М140С.

So something does not add up with the Soyuz-2-1a:-
5М137С - Р15000-026
18М137С - У15000-028
19М137С - У15000-029
20М137С - У15000-030
1М140С
2М140С
3М140С
4М140С - Н15000-033
5М140С - guess Н15000-034
6М140С - guess Н15000-035

So how is the gap explained? Three unknown rockets but only №031 and №032 missing? Where is №027?

I wonder if 6М137С was intended to be Soyuz-2-1a №027?

In some documents 6М137С is referred to as the 24th rocket for Arianespace. Confusingly 7М137С is the 23rd?

A good video looking at the Soyuz rocket's production line. The Samara factory has the feel of an old school rocket mill in your neighborhood  :) (especially when compared with some SoCal bird/dragon breeding facility ;)):

I wonder what mission the Sharik which we see in the video will be flown on?   Either a Foton-M or a Bion-M.

Some screen grabs.

1) Love it! Launch vehicle count on the Samara building.

2) Rosy riveter at work.

3) Working on a third stage.

4) Writing Russia in the frost!

5) Second stage final assembly.

6) Soyuz doing what it was originally designed for. Only a dream for now.

Yeah! :( For lunar missions, Soyuz would need more delta-v, a thicker heatshield and probably better comms systems...
