Author Topic: Canada’s Dextre Completes Marathon Week of Robotics Ops on ISS  (Read 2883 times)

An absolutely superb article on Dextre's recent work and roles to come, by Pete Harding (and this will easily explain why he's known as Mr ISS - this is unbeatable on info):

Wow...acronym heaven.

A very nice capability from Canada.

I think one thing people don't always realize about Dextre is that he's big - around twice the size in each direction of an adult human.  When you see him (it?) attached to that giant station, the size isn't readily apparent.

good job Pete.  This does show the steady marathon jogging pace of station operations now compared to the sprint rate that shuttle EVA/robotics took place.  Will be interesting to cover.

Nice article, but I miss the personal touch of Dextre's tweets :)

That is a brilliant article. It's like a bunch of presentations and briefings put into a blender and and a nice smoothie is presented with an acronym slice on top :)

Thanks, folks (I love that description, Launch Fan)! :)

And I did consider referring to Dextre as "he" not "it", just for rdale. :D

Would Dextre be a good candidate for ISS fluids, and fuels re-supply?   Such a system could be setup.
