I like it, Only flaw if I had to pick one, Is it pixelates often with fast movement. Maybe a better VBR setup is required. *shrug*

After talking to the ULA webmaster it seems that they have discontinued their use of Windows media, and as a result VLC is no longer a viable tool for EELV coverage (and wanst really good for SPaceX feed) In fact it seems the entire industry is moving over to flash so really need to find a new program. I do use camtasia to do screen recordings and timelaspes which work well, but the real need is for a rapid screenshot program.  I set up VLC to save to a particular directory and to take a shot when i push the space bar, so I can quickly get many screen shots especially during the first moments of launch, but things like printscreen or the snip tool just arent as effective. ANyone have advise for a good program to make up for that?

Even flash (which is just an embedded player) has to get a feed from somewhere ... probably of flv video, the same format that youtube uses and other flash players. VLC should be able to play the flv format so it's just a question of finding the feed source as many addons do in Firefox so the addon can download flash videos.

Ustream HD feed is far lower quality today. :(

EDIT: Back to it's usual sharpness now. *phew!*

And it's back looking a like a SD feed with with a NASA HD logo slapped onto it.

Educational documentaries from the 90's are probably not going to be in true HD :)

Maybe so, but what about the the logo? It's all blurry and low-res. Not exactly HD quality.

They are re-airing the presser now, when I first loaded up it was a little blurry but within 10 seconds it went crystal clear (probably adjusting for my speed.) Might check that?

Easiest way of telling is the NASA HD Logo (It should be crystal sharp), I really hope they haven't added a speed checker. :( Spacevidcast had one and it kept flicking between SD and HD even though I could play HD just fine.

The android feed is fixed, and they added a flash player for v2.2 or later and it's a beautiful HD feed!

Since the NASA TV webpage still links to the poorly cropped 700kbps Windows NTV stream, here are links to all available Yahoo Windows NTV streams:

150kbps: http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368161

300kbps: http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368162

500kbps: http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368570

1200kbps: http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?id=1368163

can we rely on the ustream HD feed during STS-135 ? I usually need to use the 500K SD stream, but would really like HD for this last launch.
