The house with the green roof (picture #79) is where Gagarin slept the night prior to his launch, isn't it?

What buildings are showed on pictures #63 and #83 ?

Yes. #78 and #79 are Gagarin's house, #80 and #81 - Korolyov's house.

What buildings are showed on pictures #63 and #83?

#63 is the Gagarin's launch complex on site 1, #83 is one of Energia's hotels on site 2.

I would love to go to Russia to see a Soyuz / Proton launch someday.  I saw STS-131 launch in person and I want to add a Russian rocket to my portfolio.  Manned or unmanned.  Maybe we can get a group together and have a big field trip!  Anyone got any ideas?

This begs the question as to whether its possible to visit the city of Baikonur for tourism, as opposed to going to a launch.
